NAS RAP’S LIKE AN ENVELOPE PACKAGE, respect to all the hip hop influences of nas’s lifetiem 1973-2004, this track is on a higher level for nas, he was raised on that planet rock! I bought the 10th Anniversary platinum edition of Illmatic, classic material, On the real is 2nd great track from nasty nas. From live @ the bbq 1991 to illmatic, i am, stillmatic to this track man got ny on lock with street poetry, from saqib hussain, birmingham uk

Nas is superior to everyone – Big, Pac, Jay, everyone… no-one can compete with him on a pure lyrical level. Other rappers will make the MTV and the Source top 10 GOAT lists and might even beat Nas but that’s because they are more commercial and the media outlets are bound to favour them. But Nas is a once in a generation-type genius on the level of a Bob Dylan or a Martin Scorsese. He is just gifted.

The only other rapper that even came close to Nas was Big when he wasn’t trying to sell out.

  21. jose4891 says:

@ReaIMusic In the big picture yes 3 Stacks is seeing Nas lyrically. They both debuted around the same time though in the early ’90s. I was saying no recent MC’s are competing with any of the big name rhymers from his generation.

  22. ReaIMusic says:
